On 7th March, fourteen LTFC Career Prefects visited the Apprentice Jockeys’ School in Sha Tin Racecourse. The objectives of the visit were to enhance students’ knowledge of career planning and the world of work. After the visit, our Career Prefects have gained a better understanding of the curriculum of Apprentice Jockey’s School and the life of apprentice jockeys, including their daily routine such as waking up at 4:30am, riding practices, cleaning stables and so on. Many students showed great interest in visiting stables and feeding the horses.
Through the visit, students have broadened their horizons and increased their knowledge of sports education and this service management profession. They have also enhanced their career planning skills and skills and knowledge for them to set their own career goals.
