The 14th Swimming Gala
On 29th September 2017, the 14th Swimming Gala was held at Ma On Shan Swimming Pool. After shows of rain, the weather became fine and the Opening Ceremony was conducted at 8:45 a.m. We were honoured to have Mr. Lai Yiu Keung, our Director of Sports Development, to deliver the Opening Speech. He mentioned that one of our swimmer, S3D CHANG Yujuan’s recent achievement of participating in the 13th National Games. Also, our alumni had won several medals in fencing and karate in the 13th National Games. It was a great encouragement for all LTFC students.
There were a number of events on that day, including individual events, inter-house relays, inter-class relays and parent-child relays. In the Closing Ceremony, Mr. Charles Szeto Shui Ki, a former Hong Kong Swimming Team Member was invited to be our Guest of Honour. He encouraged our students to strive for their best and presented trophies to the winners. The Annual Swimming Gala provided a good opportunity for all students to apply what they have learnt in the Physical Education lessons, to experience the spirit of competition, as well as to gather and support each other. It was an enjoyable day for all students, teachers and parents.
