Customs YES Promotion Vehicle
On 9th Oct 2024, the Career Education Department invited the "Customs YES Promotion Vehicle" to LTFC, engaging our students with the Hong Kong Customs Youth Development Program (Customs YES). This event aims to provide educational insights and promote the Customs’ career path among students.
The Customs YES Promotion Vehicle is a mobile exhibition that visits universities and secondary schools across Hong Kong. Its primary goal is to recruit new members and educate young people about the roles and responsibilities of Hong Kong Customs in society. Equipped with engaging multimedia resources, the vehicle creates an interactive and fun learning experience.
Our students participated in various activities designed to enhance their understanding of the duties of Hong Kong Customs and the broader implications of youth involvement in national development. Activities included an introduction to the Customs YES program, multimedia games that highlighted the significance of Customs operations, and opportunities to register online as youth members.
The activity aims to cultivate a sense of responsibility and civic duty among young people. By educating students about the roles of Customs, the program encourages them to consider pursuing a career of public service and law enforcement. The direct engagement through the promotion vehicle enables students to grasp the practical aspects of Customs work, making the learning experience relevant and impactful.
The event not only promoted Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department but also inspired students to think about their future roles in society. By fostering such connections, Customs YES is helping to build a generation of informed and responsible leaders.
