Taiwan Study Tours 2013

To carry out our school missions and expand students’ learning space beyond the classroom, our school has organized two study tours to Taiwan from 29 June to 2 July 2013.

The theme of the study tour, led mainly by the Social Science and Mathematics teachers, was ‘Ecological and Environmental Protection’ while the theme of the other tour, led by the Physical Education teachers, was ‘Physical Education and Sport Development in Taiwan’. A total of 156 JS1-SS2 students took part in the tours in view of understanding local culture, history and latest city development in Taiwan.

The tour on Ecological and Environmental Protection provided the opportunities for students to know what the Taiwanese government has done to protect the environment. It included visits to the incinerators, resources recycling center and ecological park. The tour on Physical Education and Sport Development provided a valuable opportunity for our athletes to acquire new skills through participating in different sports activities in local schools.
