Sealing Ceremony

The Lunar New Year Fair is a tradition at LTFC. This meaningful event was held on the 13th February this year. We were honored to have Dr. Lam Tai Fai, our School Supervisor, Mr. John Fan Kam Ping, our Deputy Supervisor, Prof. Philip Yeung Kwok Wing and Mr. Alex Wong Chun Bong, our School Managers, Ms. Jenny Miu, our Parent Manager, and Dr. Chong Chan Fung, our PTA Chairman to officiate the Opening Ceremony of the Fair cum 10th Anniversary Time Capsule Sealing Ceremony. This Ceremony marked the end of the series of celebration activities of our school’s 10th anniversary.

Every year, the Lunar New Year Fair is organized with the goal of providing our students with a chance to apply their subject knowledge to real-life situations and extend their learning outside the classroom. The event attracted the attention of our students, parents, alumni and the public. All of them joyfully toured around different stalls for carnival games and shopped for handmade products produced by our students. Besides, the PTA members volunteered to teach the participants to write new year greetings on red paper using ink brushes.

To prepare for the Fair, each class was assigned a stall and students were required to submit a business proposal and a budget plan to the School prior to the event. Also, they were responsible for merchandising, logistics support, designing and decorating their stalls and product promotion. In the process, students were given ample opportunities to develop their skills in communication and financial management, as well as a caring attitude towards society as all profits made by them will be donated to the Community Chest for charity.
