Congratulations to Cheung Ka Wai (S4E) for winning the
Inaugural IBSF World Under-18 (Boys and Girls) Snooker Championship
We would like to express our congratulations to Cheung Ka Wai (S4E) for his remarkable achievement in the Inaugural IBSF World Under-18 (Boys and Girls) Snooker Championship, a snooker tournament held by the International Billiards and Snooker Federation. The Championship was held from 3rd to 10th October 2015 in St. Petersburg, Russia. Ka-wai emerged as Champion in Boys category after defeating his compatriot Chan Ming Tung in the final.
Our school signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) on 2 July 2015 to provide a highly integrated and flexible curriculum for young elite athletes in Hong Kong, enabling them to train full-time whilst continuing to pursue their studies at senior secondary level in LTFC. Under this programme, Ka-wai enrolled in our college in September 2015 to continue his studies.
Ka Wai’s achievement in the Championship serves as a role model to fellow participants in this programme. With the tailor-made secondary curriculum, young elite athletes in Hong Kong are given the opportunity to follow their dreams in sports while maintaining academic studies for whole-person development.
