Congratulations to alumna, Lau Mo Sheung Grace, on winning the bronze medal in the women's kata at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Grace won a bronze medal in the first and last karate competition at the Olympics. This was the first time for karate to be included as an event in the Olympic games. Without a doubt, this bronze medal means a lot to Hong Kong, as well as, the whole of the sporting world.
In the bronze medal match against Dilara Bozan of Turkey, both Grace and her opponent performed Chatanyara Kushanku. Grace scored a total of 26.94 points, earning her a bronze medal. In an interview after the match, Grace claimed she felt extremely tired after that morning’s competition. However, before the bronze medal match, she told herself to use every last ounce of her strength and to leave no regrets. Eventually, Grace won Hong Kong’s 4th medal of the Games.

恭賀劉慕裳校友勇奪東奧空手道女子個人形銅牌
劉慕裳校友於東京奧運空手道個人形銅牌戰中,不負眾望,勇奪銅牌。本屆奧運首辦空手道賽事,亦是劉校友首次出戰奧運,因此這面銅牌對香港歷史、對國際體壇均極具意義。
劉校友在東奧銅牌戰中,跟土耳其選手都是打糸東流套拳「北谷屋良公相君」(Chatanyara Kushanku),結果劉校友以 26.94 高分奪牌。她接受傳媒採訪時,表示上午排名賽後雖然感到十分疲倦,但迎戰同日下午的銅牌賽前,仍對自己說:「無論多累,都要耗盡最後的一點能量,不留遺憾。」她勇猛無懼的氣勢,被傳媒稱譽「道場上仿如巨人」。
